Reform UK deputy county council leader removed
"Despite the recent news, nothing's changed, I'll keep fighting for Whitwick at County Hall and doing everything I can to help get a Reform UK government and Nigel Farage as our next prime minister."
"I haven't stepped down from any role. I am no longer deputy leader or in cabinet. But have been offered a cabinet support role which I'm inclined to take."
"Joseph deserves thanks for his role in helping to establish the Reform group at Leicestershire County Council and we wish him well, as he moves into a new role, where he will continue to support the group's efforts at County Hall."
Joseph Boam was removed from the deputy leader role and from the cabinet position for adult social care at Leicestershire County Council after three months in post. Boam stated on social media that he will continue to represent Whitwick and support efforts for a Reform UK government and Nigel Farage. He also said he had not stepped down and that he had been offered a cabinet support role which he was inclined to accept. Reform UK thanked him for helping to establish the group and confirmed he will continue to support efforts at County Hall. The Conservative opposition criticised Reform UK's local leadership and Boam's suitability for the role.
