He said he relied on a senior member of staff to submit his interests and accepted full responsibility for the error. He blamed severe growing pains as Reform UK expanded after the 2024 election and was overwhelmed by administration and emails. The undeclared interests included broadcasting work for GB News and payments for social media output on Google and X. Farage said there was no intention to deceive, that he did not claim expenses or have tax trouble, and that the commissioner found a high number and high value of breaches.
