"Given his proximity to guns and love of guns, I was genuinely worried."
"The only reason we know about this guy is because somebody sent it to me on TikTok,"
"It makes me wonder how many other madapasas are there now in this country?"
"The defendant livestreamed the recording of his crossing, which appears to have gathered a large online viewing,"
Fayaz Khan, 26, was convicted of making threats to kill Nigel Farage and sentenced to five years in prison. Khan recorded a TikTok post in October 2024 making a gun gesture, pointing to an AK-47 face tattoo and saying he would "pop, pop, pop" Farage, calling him "Englishman Nigel". He arrived on a small black inflatable boat among 65 migrants and livestreamed the crossing. Authorities believe he gave a false name, likely to conceal a criminal record from time in Sweden or to avoid enemies. Prosecutors disputed his claim that he did not know the crossing was illegal, and Farage described the threat as chilling.
