France using UK as a 'dumping ground for illegal migrants' - London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com
Briefly

The Shadow Justice Secretary criticized the British government's £800 million payments to France, claiming it has not deterred illegal migration. After a visit to northern France, Robert Jenrick observed migrants freely moving towards the UK. He described witnessing police indifference as migrants boarded public transport. Jenrick expressed frustration at the lack of action from French authorities despite the substantial investment from the UK government, stating that the situation reflects a failure to address illegal migration effectively. He asserted that France will not resolve the issue of migrants crossing into the UK.
I've been following this issue for a long time, but even I was shocked by what I saw, and in particular by the fact that the French, to whom we're giving £800million a year and just given a state visit to their president, are basically aiding and abetting the migrants.
I literally saw migrants walking down a highway holding life jackets, no one did anything. I saw them getting on a public bus, no one stops them.
At daybreak at Dunkirk beach, I phoned the police in France because I felt I've got to do something, I've got to stop these people getting into our country. And the French did absolutely nothing.
That is what we're getting in return for the millions of pounds, the effort that Keir Starmer is supposedly doing to smash the gangs. I think it's a total disgrace.
