Sir Laurie Magnus concluded the shortfall was £40,000. Nigel Farage posted a video on X condemning the situation, arguing the housing role and the tax shortfall are incompatible and predicting an internal Labour deputy leadership election and factional splits. Farage also criticised the government as unqualified and compared its problems to those of the Conservatives.
