"When we are seeing falling numbers of parents getting their children vaccinated, and a resurgence of disease we had previously eradicated, it is shockingly irresponsible for Nigel Farage to give a platform to these poisonous lies, said Streeting. Farage should apologise and sever all ties with this dangerous extremism."
"There is no good evidence of a link between the Covid-19 vaccine and cancer risk. The vaccine is a safe and effective way to protect against the infection and prevent serious symptoms."
Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist and known vaccine sceptic appointed as a senior adviser to Robert F Kennedy, used a top billing slot at a Reform Party conference in Birmingham to assert that Covid vaccines created havoc in the human body and likely contributed to cancers among royal family members. The claim prompted immediate condemnation from Health Secretary Wes Streeting, who called the remarks irresponsible and demanded apologies and disassociation from Nigel Farage. Cancer Research UK rejected any evidence linking Covid-19 vaccination to cancer and reiterated vaccine safety and effectiveness. Conference organisers had faced advance warnings from doctors about giving Malhotra a platform.
