Aaran works in executive recruitment and lived in Malaysia and Indonesia. Mashood, 51, of East Hampshire, is CEO and founder of an internet broadband provider. Aaran previously voted Labour and recently voted Lib Dem after moving to a Tory area. Mashood alternated between Conservative and Lib Dem, is disenchanted with Tory and Reform politics, and likes some Green policies. Aaran moved to Dubai in 2005 and returned in 2019. They recall fierce business rivalry in the late 1990s and shared a meal. Aaran argues children should not have smartphones, compares them to tobacco for addictiveness, and supports government action. Mashood says parents give smartphones and are outsourcing responsibility, and contends children do not feel unsafe.
