Wimbledon fans queuing overnight for tickets have allegedly been using nearby woodlands as makeshift toilets, raising health concerns. Local campaigner Simon Wright reported finding human faeces in Horse Close Wood, an area historically known as "Piggy Woods" during WWII. Despite signage urging respect for the woods, the misuse has worsened, according to Wright. He stated that human waste poses higher microbiological risks than animal waste, making the sanitation issue particularly alarming in the oldest parts of the woods.
