Regent Street recorded 2,294 thefts between January 1, 2024 and December 2, 2025, while Shaftesbury Avenue, Wardour Street and Charing Cross Road reported 1,365, 1,057 and 1,037 incidents respectively. Westminster recorded 59,079 stolen devices over 23 months, averaging 84 per day. The 30 most affected streets accounted for 22,024 thefts, 31 per day. London sees about 80,000 devices stolen annually. A police crackdown, high-speed Sur-ron e-bikes, drones and greater public awareness contributed to a 24% drop in offences.
