Wembley murder: Two arrested after man, 22, stabbed on busy street in broad daylight
"We are grateful for the help we have already received from the local community and while we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter, I would encourage those who have not yet spoken to police to come forward as soon as possible."
"We know this murder has caused shock and concern for residents and our officers are here to support those who live and work in the area. There will be an increased police presence at a number of locations please do speak to these officers if you have any worries or issues. You can also speak directly to local ward officers by signing up to and using Met Engage. Our thoughts of course remain with the victim's loved ones at this difficult time, and our specialist officers will continue to support them."
Police were called to High Road in Wembley just before 1pm on Monday after a 22-year-old man was found injured. Paramedics treated the man at the scene but he later died in hospital. Next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. On Tuesday a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Harrow and a 21-year-old woman was arrested at the same address on suspicion of assisting an offender. Police have increased patrols, encouraged witnesses to come forward, and provided contact details including 101 and Crimestoppers.
