Wind gusts up to 70mph are possible in western and exposed north-west locations. Deep flood water could be life-threatening and impacts may include power cuts, travel disruption and damage to buildings. The AA advises against travelling and the storm was named by the Spanish service after affecting the Canary Islands; it is expected to remain positioned in the west rather than directly crossing the country.
