The individual was found unresponsive in his cell on April 2, shortly before his scheduled court appearance. Despite attempts at resuscitation, he was pronounced dead. An independent investigation by the IOPC is underway, with support from the Metropolitan Police, as authorities collect CCTV evidence and statements from involved custody staff to uncover the incident's circumstances.
