Zhenhao Zou, a 28-year-old PhD student originally from China, was recently convicted of drugging and raping ten women across London and China. Authorities, including the PSNI and the Metropolitan Police, suspect the actual number of victims could exceed fifty. Investigations are ongoing to trace more victims, especially from Zou's time studying at Queen's University in Belfast from 2017 to 2019. Chief Constable Jon Boutcher confirmed they are in close collaboration with the Met and are appealing for any additional victims to come forward following the high-profile conviction.
Zou was convicted of drugging and raping 10 women in London and China, but it is feared the real number of victims could be more than 50.
Police are working closely with the Met to identify potential victims from Zou's time studying in Belfast, as investigations may reveal more survivors.
