Police were called to reports of a fight at 3.52pm on Tuesday in Palmerston Road, Forest Gate. Emergency crews found Franklin Francis, 56, unresponsive and he was taken to hospital, where he died on Thursday. Two men, aged 56 and 24, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are currently on conditional bail. The family described Franklin as a loving member whose kindness and warmth touched everyone and said his absence leaves a void. Specialist officers are supporting the family. Superintendent Sarah Jackson thanked members of the public who helped and said the incident was isolated. Police asked anyone with information to contact 101 or report online quoting CAD4783/25Nov.
