Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is set to be released from prison following a reduction of his 18-month contempt of court sentence by four months. The High Court noted Robinson's recent efforts to comply with a previously established injunction which barred him from repeating false claims about a Syrian refugee. Despite a noted lack of remorse, the judge acknowledged a change in Robinson's attitude, allowing for his early release contingent on the completion of the punitive sentence.
Robinson has shown a change in attitude since he was sentenced and given assurance to comply with the injunction in the future.
Mr Justice Johnson noted a lack of contrition from Robinson, but acknowledged improvements in his compliance willingness.
