The innovative alcohol-free Covent Garden bar that is closing down
"The bar and bottle shop on Drury Lane in Covent Garden was founded by Laura Willoughby as part of her mindful drinking business, and was London's only non-alcoholic tasting room when it launched at the end of 2022. News of the closure was recently announced on : 'We're at the end of our lease and the landlord needs to finally sort some long-standing drain issues (honestly... if you know, you know).'"
"You'll have to almost the end of Dry January to get your last rounds of non-alc bevs in, with the Club Soda Tasting Room closing on January 25. 'And don't panic - this isn't the end. Not even close,' writes Club Soda, who plan to open a new version of the bar and bottle shop soon. 'We're already on the hunt for a new home for the Tasting Room'."
Club Soda Tasting Room on Drury Lane in Covent Garden will close on January 25. The booze-free bar and bottle shop opened at the end of 2022 as part of Laura Willoughby's mindful drinking business and was London's only non-alcoholic tasting room at launch. Closure follows the end of the lease and landlord-required repairs to longstanding drain issues. The venue stocked non-alcoholic beers, CBD drinks, 'adult' soft drinks, low- and no-wines, booze-free spirits and other grown-up alternatives. Club Soda plans to reopen a new version and will continue selling products via its online shop after closure.
