On August 26, 2016, Naweed Ali started his first day at Hero Couriers, believing he was part of a legitimate operation reuniting lost baggage with airline passengers. However, unbeknownst to him, the company was actually an undercover police operation, Operation Pesage. After arriving for work and handing over his car keys, police discovered a pipe bomb and other weapons in Ali's vehicle. By August 2017, Ali and his co-conspirators were sentenced to life in prison for planning a terrorist attack, which was thwarted by police intervention.
