Tesco security guard left with lasting vision impairment after brutal east London store attack
"This was a violent attack on a member of staff who was simply doing his job. We have spoken to a number of people who witnessed the incident but are keen to speak to anyone who recognises the man in this CCTV image."
"Anyone who saw the attack and has not yet spoken to police is encouraged to come forward and speak to officers."
A security guard in his 60s suffered a serious eye injury during a violent attack at a Tesco store in Leytonstone on Boxing Day. The incident occurred when the guard attempted to speak to a man leaving the shop. Two others, including a second security guard and a bystander, sustained minor injuries. Police have released a CCTV image of the suspect and are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
