Ryanair passenger's fury after luggage came off plane 'ripped to shreds' and he was offered just 50
"The 34-year-old waited around 40 minutes at the baggage reclaim area but says his bag did not come out on the conveyor belt as normal. Daniel claims he asked a Ryanair staff member about his bag who spent 20 minutes looking for it, asking him to look at some of the other conveyor belts. But Daniel was shocked when the staff member returned with his bag ripped to shreds and looking like it was mauled by a tiger."
"Photos show Daniel's damaged belongings including clothes, underwear, new shoes, a drone controller and an extension lead he used for work. The passenger said his luggage looked like it had been dragged down the runway' Daniel said the 200 bag was a gift from his wife and that the total amount of the damage is 1,500. The photographer was left in shock with his belongings falling on the floor and was given a bin bag to carry them home."
Daniel Sakal landed at London Stansted on September 4 after working a wedding in Nice. He waited about 40 minutes at baggage reclaim while his checked bag failed to appear. A Ryanair staff member searched for 20 minutes, then returned with the bag ripped to shreds, with damaged clothes, new shoes, a drone controller and an extension lead used for work. The bag appeared as if dragged along the runway. Daniel reported the total damage at 1,500 and said he was offered only 50; Ryanair attributed responsibility to third-party handlers at Nice.
