Russell Brand has pleaded not guilty to serious allegations, including rape and sexual assault, during a court hearing at Southwark Crown Court in London. The charges relate to incidents involving four women from 1999 to 2005 and include allegations of oral rape and indecent assault. Brand, who entered the court wearing a dark suit, denied all counts and will remain on conditional bail until his trial, scheduled to commence on 3 June 2026. A pre-trial review is set for 20 May 2026. Brand has previously stated his gratitude for the opportunity to defend himself in court.
Brand's appearance at Southwark Crown Court marked the first time he formally denied the charges against him, asserting his innocence amid serious allegations.
Facing multiple charges related to events in the early 2000s, Brand maintained his claim of innocence, stating he had never engaged in non-consensual activity.
