Vikas Nath, 63, is accused of one count of rape, three charges of sexual assault, three allegations of voyeurism and two counts of administering a substance with intent. It is claimed Nath carried out sex attacks on a woman on two dates in 2022, and he is also accused of making covert recordings "for sexual gratification"."
"Nath, who lives in Knightsbridge and is the owner of a string of top restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Benares in Mayfair, denies all of the charges and has been remanded in custody. At Southwark Crown Court on Monday, Nath appeared in front of Judge Usha Karu for a trial to be set for 8 February 2027. The case is due to last between five and seven days. Judge Karu ordered the restaurateur to appear for a further pre-trial hearing on 11 January next year."
