I realised it wasn't just a crash when I saw the bike in the Rolex store door."
"Officers were called at 10:53am on Tuesday, January 20 following reports of a group of men entering the store and threatening staff with weapons before stealing multiple items. No injuries were reported. The men, who were wearing motorcycle helmets, then left the scene on mopeds. Officers arrived at the scene within three minutes and a crime scene remains in place. No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are ongoing."
Masked raiders arrived on motorbikes and used crowbars to smash the windows of the Bucherer Rolex Boutique near Harrods shortly before 11am. Eyewitnesses said the gang threatened staff with a machete near the nearby Underground station. A broken glass cabinet was seen inside the boutique and a security guard described chaotic scenes, including a bike driven into the store door. The offenders were in and out quickly and stole a large number of watches, according to shop staff; no injuries were reported. The men left on mopeds wearing motorcycle helmets. Metropolitan Police set up a cordon, forensics collected evidence, officers arrived within three minutes, and no arrests have yet been made.
