When the victim tried to defend herself the man pulled out a small bottle and said it was pepper spray before spraying it in the direction of the victim and her family."

During a family outing in central London a woman was sprayed with a suspected pepper spray, subjected to racial abuse and assaulted. A well-dressed couple walking ahead collided with a buggy; the man then shouted racial abuse while the woman grabbed the victim’s hair. When the victim tried to defend herself the man produced a small bottle, claimed it was pepper spray and sprayed toward the victim and her family. Both parties then left the area after the woman shouted abuse and made lewd gestures. Detectives released an image of two people they wish to speak to; enquiries into the substance are ongoing and no ill effects were reported.
