The Palestinian Red Crescent Society condemned the killing of 15 aid workers during recent Israeli attacks, describing the incident as one of the darkest moments of the ongoing conflict. New forensic evidence suggests many were shot at close range, indicating execution-style killings rather than random fire. Forensic analyst Ahmad Dhaher reported intentional targeted wounds. The aid workers were attacked while responding to emergencies, and despite rescue attempts, subsequent teams faced continued attacks, leading to the discovery of bodies in a mass grave in Rafah. One worker remains missing.
"Preliminary analysis suggests they were executed, not from a distant range, since the locations of the bullet wounds were specific and intentional," said forensic analyst Ahmad Dhaher.
"This is one of the darkest moments in this conflict that has shaken our shared humanity to its core," PRCS President Younes al-Khatib told the UN Security Council.
