""And then I saw the blood. I knew something was seriously wrong, it genuinely felt like my arm had detached at the elbow.""
""They gave us some seats to watch Oasis, but I think once the shock had worn off, I realised the amount of pain I was in,""
""I've always worked, I've worked for 35 years, and the thought of now having to claim benefits just to pay the bills is really awful,""
Michael Hargreaves, 53, of Stockport slipped on slippier-than-usual stairs at Wembley Stadium during an Oasis reunion gig on 3 August and broke his elbow. He received first aid onsite, was advised to go to hospital, briefly returned to the concert, then left because of severe pain and bleeding. He underwent emergency surgery and is now doing physiotherapy but faces possible lifelong limitations in his dominant right arm. He is a self-employed plumber and gas engineer and is uncertain when he can return to work. Lawyers are involved and Wembley says incidents are investigated thoroughly.
