OAP drug driver claims cocaine was slipped into his lemonade during birthday party
Briefly

Arthur Ball, an 81-year-old man, was caught driving under the influence of cocaine after his birthday party. He tested three times the legal limit for cocaine when stopped by police. Despite his claims of not using drugs and suggesting that a fellow guest may have contaminated his drink, he pleaded guilty to drug driving. Ball was fined £120 and banned from driving for 12 months. His Motability car had a police marker due to alleged previous usage by a drug dealer.
When quizzed, the OAP... claimed a fellow guest must have slipped a wrap of cocaine into his lemonade during the bash.
Blood tests showed Ball had 162 micrograms of benzoylecgonine (BZE) per litre of blood in his system. BZE is a breakdown product of cocaine and the legal limit is 50 mg.
