Officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Bury New Road in Whitefield, Bury, at about 3pm on Friday. The driver was taken to hospital with an injury to his arm described as neither life threatening nor life changing. No police officers were injured. Greater Manchester Police said the incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct under standard procedure, and investigations are ongoing. A 20-year-old white British man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
