An individual attacked worshippers and used a vehicle in an incident at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Middleton Road in Crumpsall on Thursday 2 October. Four people sustained injuries in a combined stabbing and vehicle attack at the synagogue entrance or nearby grounds. An eyewitness described seeing police shoot a suspect at the scene. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the suspect was shot and activated the national 'Plato' code word used by emergency services for terror incidents.
