Killer who murdered two men and dumped their bodies in suitcases jailed

"Yostin Andres Mosquera, 35, killed civil partners Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71, on 8 July last year in their flat in Scotts Road, Shepherd's Bush, west London. The Colombian national was found to have repeatedly stabbed Mr Alfonso who suffered injuries to his torso, face, and neck, while Mr Longworth had his skull shattered after being attacked with a hammer to his head."

"Mosquera, who was staying with the couple, then decapitated and dismembered them, froze parts of their remains and took the rest in suitcases to the bridge. A jury at Woolwich Crown Court unanimously found Mosquera guilty of both murders. Yostin Andres Mosquera decapitated and dismembered his victims and tried to dispose of their bodies on Clifton Suspension Bridge (Metropolitan Police) At his sentencing on Friday, Mosquera was also jailed for 16 months for possessing at least 1,500 horrifying indecent images and videos of children."

"The court heard Mr Alfonso enjoyed extreme sex and had met Mosquera, who was part of that world, online a few years earlier. Mr Alfonso was stabbed during a filmed session, with footage played in court showing Mosquera asking do you like it? and also singing and dancing after the attack. Seconds later he went on a computer to try to steal from his victims' bank accounts. Jurors heard that Mosquera attempted to open a bank account using the Scotts Road address."

Mosquera decapitated and dismembered both men, froze some remains and transported others in suitcases to Clifton Suspension Bridge. A jury unanimously convicted Mosquera of both murders and imposed a life sentence with a minimum term of 42 years. The stabbing was filmed and footage showed Mosquera asking “do you like it?” before singing and dancing. He attempted to access the victims' bank accounts and tried to transfer funds to Colombia, and was also jailed for possessing at least 1,500 indecent images and videos of children.
