Jemima Goldsmith, a 52-year-old TV producer and socialite, was convicted at Westminster Magistrates' Court for failing to respond to police correspondence regarding a speeding ticket. Her Mini Clubman vehicle was caught traveling at 46mph in a 40mph zone on the A1 in Hampstead on August 28, 2025. Goldsmith eventually identified Anthony Reilly, a Switzerland resident, as the driver. However, her response came on November 4, six days after the deadline and two months after initial notification. She attributed the delay to renovation work at her £10 million Kensington home, where builders misplaced the original letter, combined with her personal assistant's annual leave and her mother's death in October. Magistrate Gladys Famoriyo convicted her of failing to provide driver identification information and imposed a £1,000 fine.
