"Residents living in a block of flats in northwest London say they are being forced to sleep on their sofas as relentless vibrations coming from a generator beneath their homes have been keeping them awake at night. Apartments at Holborough House in Colindale Gardens, Edgware, which sell for upwards of 340,000, are marketed with luxury amenities including a 24-hour concierge, a residents-only gym, and onsite amenities, all within walking distance of Colindale Tube station."
"But residents claim a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit underneath their homes has turned daily life into an absolute nightmare, emitting noise and vibrations from as early as 6am until 11pm, shaking walls, disrupting sleep, and affecting their wellbeing. Some have even spent nights at relatives' or friends' homes to escape the noise. Leaseholder Peabody said they understand residents' frustration and want the issue resolved as quickly as possible."
"Rebecca Villa, 34, who bought her home through shared ownership in a bid to get on the London property ladder, told The Standard she now regrets purchasing the property because of the ongoing issues. It's an absolute nightmare, and I wish I hadn't gone through with the whole process, she said. The stress and psychological impact it has had on me and residents has been unbelievable."
