Troy Forbes, 48, was banned from dog ownership after using his pit bull terrier as a threat against police during an altercation. During a domestic incident, when officers attempted to arrest him, he warned that his dog would attack them if they approached. Authorities identified the dog as a prohibited breed, leading to its euthanasia. At Willesden Magistrates' Court, Forbes pleaded guilty to possessing a fighting dog, resulting in an 80 fine, 85 in court costs, and a five-year disqualification from dog ownership.
Mr Forbes was walking his dog when officers tried to approach him to arrest him. He made comments to the effect of if you approach me the dog will attack you.
The dog, identified by police as a prohibited breed pitbull terrier, was put down as a result of this incident.
At court, Forbes was fined 80, told to pay 85 court costs, and was disqualified from owning a dog for five years.
