'I photographed a beautiful rare bird for what may have been the first time'
Briefly

On June 15, Christine Henry photographed a rare leucistic treecreeper in Epping Forest, Essex. This uncommon bird, characterized by reduced pigmentation, was confirmed by experts to be a unique sighting in the UK, as no previous photographs of an all-white treecreeper were documented. Christine, deeply excited by her find, described its striking appearance and noted that the bird reflects colors of its surroundings. Encouraged by her photographer friend, she highlighted the significance of this rare occurrence in the birdwatching community.
"It's 100% a treecreeper - no shadow of a doubt. The tail, the claws, the beak, its behaviours and the way it climbs up… it’s a really clean and beautiful pure white."
"Pure white treecreepers are very rare. There's two - one like an albino with pink eyes and ones that are pure white - it's totally unusual."
