Chas McNeil, a 49-year-old highly experienced skydiver and wingsuit coach from Poole, Dorset, died at Dunkeswell Aerodrome near Honiton on Saturday. Emergency services were called to the site just before 1pm following concerns for the male skydiver's welfare. McNeil was pronounced dead at the scene. His family was informed and requested privacy during this time. Investigations are ongoing involving Devon and Cornwall Police, British Skydiving, and East Devon District Council Environmental Health and Safety Office. McNeil had been conducting a jump with a friend at the time of the incident.
