Grind students turned away from Burke family home as arrest and jailing of mother and daughter Martina and Ammi 'imminent'

"Martina and Ammi Burke remained at liberty last night, but in the belief their arrest and imprisonment was imminent, scheduled grinds at their home in Castlebar, Co Mayo, were cancelled yesterday."

"Gardaí in Castlebar did not attempt to execute a High Court order to arrest and convey the Burke women to prison yesterday but teenagers attending the Burke family home for grinds were turned away at 5pm by a female member of the family."
