A 30 Years in the Dock Memory Project will gather stories, photographs, and memories from former crew, local residents, alumni, and visitors connected to the ship since 1996. The Golden Hinde, launched in 1973 as a full-size replica of the 1577 Golden Hind, completed several sea voyages including a circumnavigation before being placed in a dry dock beside the Thames. The replica arrived on 14 September 1996 after a delayed July arrival. Fundraising will support a starboard-side restoration, an Annual Membership Scheme will launch, and the programme will culminate in a large anniversary weekend and VIP celebration in September 2026.
