"Suella Braverman has defected to Reform, the third sitting Conservative MP to join Nigel Farage's party in little more than a week."
"Today am announcing that I resign the Conservative whip."
"I feel like I have come home."
Suella Braverman resigned the Conservative whip and defected to Reform, announcing the move as a surprise speaker at a Reform event in London. Braverman is the Fareham and Waterlooville MP, in Parliament since 2015, and previously served as home secretary under Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak. Braverman's husband had already joined Reform, and she had long been regarded as a possible defector. She is the third sitting Conservative MP to join Nigel Farage's party in little over a week, following Robert Jenrick on 15 January and Andrew Rosindell a few days later. More details soon.
