Forensics at scene of Stoke Newington house explosion with investigation underway
Briefly

A man, aged 46, was discovered fatally injured in a home on Dumont Road, Stoke Newington, early on June 17. A 44-year-old suspect was arrested for murder and required hospitalization for slash wounds. Two children, aged seven and nine, were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Neighbors described a powerful explosion that blew out the house's front bay window and scattered debris across the street. Six fire engines and 40 firefighters responded to the scene. The Metropolitan Police are investigating and increasing patrols in the area.
Eventually I noticed the beam on the bay window was missing and could see some mild smoke coming out of the back.
The front bay window was completely blown out, with debris including plants, wooden shutters and glass scattered across the street.
I was worried. Everybody on the street came out in their pyjamas.
The Metropolitan Police said there will be additional patrols in the area while the investigation continues.
