"A spokesperson said: "Rain, heavy at times, is expected to develop across southwest England on Friday night and spread north-eastward during Saturday before clearing into the North Sea on Saturday night. "The Met Office is predicting London will be soaked this weekend and throughout the first half of December, with yellow warnings for heavy rain in place for much of the next few days. Warnings are in place from 6am until midnight tomorrow, Saturday, November 29, and from 8am on Monday to 6am on Tuesday. The forecaster said heavy rain could cause travel disruption, flooding and power cuts."
Yellow warnings for heavy rain cover London and large parts of England and Wales for several days, with warnings active from 6am–midnight Saturday and 8am Monday–6am Tuesday. Rain, heavy at times, is expected to develop across southwest England Friday night and spread northeast before clearing Saturday night. Forecasts indicate 20–30 mm fairly widely and up to 50 mm possible in places. Heavy rain could cause travel disruption, flooding and power cuts. Strong winds may accompany the heaviest rain, particularly in eastern England on Saturday night. Wet, windy and muggy conditions, with humidity above 90%, are likely into early December.
