Eight people arrested between April and May for alleged repeated disruption at filming locations across London had their case discontinued after the CPS and Metropolitan Police concluded the evidence did not meet the threshold for prosecution. The arrests followed reports of disruptions while The Runner was shooting in the city. The eight were charged with offences under provisions concerning watching or besetting a house or place under the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act. The Met said the film had been targeted solely because an actress involved in the production is Israeli. One protester reported lawyers informed them the case had been dropped.
