Oliver Archer was posting parcels in a corner shop in Ladbroke Grove when a man speaking Turkish entered. Archer struck up a conversation after hearing Turkish and mentioned that his father was from Istanbul. He knew only his father's first name, height, and that he was a "nice man from Istanbul." After introductions and exchanged names, Archer asked if the man knew a woman by his mother's name; the man replied he had known her "20-odd years ago."
