Young cadets joined community leaders and Haringey Council for Armed Forces Day on June 29. Armed Forces Day recognizes the dedication of those serving in the British Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force. Haringey's Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and council members attended the service at George Meehan House in Wood Green, expressing gratitude for service members and honoring families who lost loved ones. George Meehan House, a former town hall from 1865, now serves for civil and citizenship ceremonies and houses the civic mayor's office.
