Over half of the busiest airports in Britain have increased their 'kiss-and-fly' fees, according to research from the RAC. Eleven out of 20 UK airports raised fees since July, with prominent airports such as Gatwick and Bristol charging £7 for quick drop-offs. In contrast, nine of the top ten busiest EU airports do not impose drop-off fees. Cardiff airport instituted a fee for the first time, and London Luton and Manchester have the highest costs per minute. The fees reportedly help manage congestion and pollution around airports.
