Unknown raiders broke into St Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff in the early hours of Monday and specifically targeted the Wales is gallery. Two suspects are believed to have forced entry to the main building and stolen several items, including Bronze Age gold jewellery, from a display case. South Wales Police received a burglary report at about 12.30am and have opened an investigation, appealing for any information. Museum staff on duty followed protocol and were uninjured. The museum sits in the grounds of St Fagans Castle and features over 50 recreated historic buildings.
