Off The Kerb Productions, the talent agency handling major UK comedians such as Jonathan Ross and Michael McIntyre, reported a £1.8 million loss for the year ending April 2024, down from a £5.1 million profit the year prior. This loss stemmed largely from staff bonuses, although turnover saw a slight increase from £51 million to £51.7 million. While UK income slightly declined, international earnings surged, reflecting the global appeal of their talent. Management anticipates a strong 2025 due to upcoming contracts and tours.
The decrease in profit compared to 2023 primarily reflects staff bonuses paid in the year. Whilst this expenditure has impacted the current year's profitability, excluding these bonus payments, the underlying financial performance remained stable.
Despite the reported loss, the company remains optimistic about future performance. We believe 2025 will be a good year with various new contracts and tours scheduled.
