Baby gorilla enjoys 'spooky' Halloween pumpkin
"We wanted to make sure the animals didn't miss out on the fun."
"great enterprising spirit,"
"Gorillas are very curious by nature, and they really enjoyed discovering their stuffed surprises in spooky pumpkin shape."
Venus, a one-year and eight-month-old western lowland gorilla at London Zoo, munched a carved pumpkin stuffed with pulses alongside other gorillas. Silverback Kiburi reached the pumpkins first, while Venus showed a great enterprising spirit and ate the Halloween treat under the watchful eye of her mother Effie. Venus is curious and confident and plays constantly. Her half-sister Juno also enjoyed the stuffed pumpkins. The zoo prepared carved pumpkins so the animals could participate in Halloween activities. London Zoo will hold Boo at the Zoo from 25 October to 2 November with a silent disco, animal talks and craft activities.
