A devastating barn fire in Ottringham, East Yorkshire, led to the death of approximately 800 goats from a total of 1,000 housed in the barn. The situation escalated after a heat lamp accidentally fell, igniting straw on the barn floor. Six fire engines responded swiftly to the scene after the alarm was raised at 4:51 PM and battled the blaze until 7 PM. The Humberside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that, despite the tragedy, about 200 goats survived the incident.
