FRAN SANS is a monospaced display font inspired by the destination displays within the light rail vehicles that service San Francisco. The design emulates the clarity and spacing of transit signage, prioritizing legibility across segmented panels and at varied viewing distances. FRAN SANS is offered in three variations to address different weights and contextual needs. Photographic imagery accompanies the presentation to show the type in situ. External review and advisory input contributed to design refinement. Licensing is handled directly; interested parties should get in touch for terms and permissions.
