An investigation has revealed that the iconic font used in the anti-piracy campaign of the early 2000s, which likened digital piracy to stealing physical items, was itself pirated. Social media users found that the font was a cloned version of a licensed typeface created by designer Just van Rossum. The campaign's dramatic visuals warned against piracy but, ironically, may have inadvertently supported it through their choice of font, raising questions about awareness among the designers.
