This Beach In Hawaii Has Some of the Clearest Waters in the World-Plus Calm and Shallow Waters, Too
"Hawaii is rich in stunning beaches, all with their own individual beauty. There are those with white sand, black sand, red sand, and even green sand. Some attract surfers with their big waves, while others are more mellow and swimmer-friendly. Lanikai Beach on Oahu falls into the latter category-and its incredibly clear waters continue to attract visitors and locals alike."
"Located on the Windward Coast of Oahu, Lanikai Beach is about a 30-minute drive from Honolulu; public access walkways will bring you out to its soft white sand and pristine waters. To ensure you can find parking-there are no public parking lots for Lanikai-plan to arrive early in the morning; this will also allow you (if you get there in time) to see a breathtaking Hawaiian sunset."
Lanikai Beach on Oahu features soft white sand, crystal-clear, swimmer-friendly waters and views of the two small islands Nā Mokulua (the Mokes). The beach sits on the Windward Coast about a 30-minute drive from Honolulu and is reached via public access walkways. There are no public parking lots at Lanikai, so visitors should arrive early, bike, take a shuttle, or park at nearby Kailua Beach Park and walk.
